Burger with Cheese, Meaty Bacon Bits, Tomato, and Onions
Home made burger with process cheese slice, tomato slice, diced onions, and meaty bacon bits. This is an easy to make recipe and delicious.
Ingredients For This Recipe
For this burger you will need:
1/2 lb of lean hamburger,
2 tablespoons meaty bacon bits,
1 tablespoon finely chopped onion,
1 slice process cheese,
1 slice fresh tomato,
pepper to season,
salt to season.
Make Your Home Style Burger
Put your fresh hamburger in a bowl, add some salt and pepper to season; then form a round hamburg patty by using your hands. Put the burger in your fry pan and
cook on medium heat till burger is cooked as you like. For well done, about 10 mins each side.
Add you slice process cheese while burger is still in the pan and almost done. Once cheese melts, remove from the pan and put on your bun.
Remove your meaty bacon bits from the fridge 10 or so minutes before you start cooking your burger, or put them in the microwave to warm them somewhat.
Meaty bacon bits are usually found in the condiments, and dressing aisle of your grocery store. They are pre cooked and ready to eat. Once opened keep them in the fridge.
Chop your onions into finely diced pieces and add to the top of the burger. Add your onions first, then the tomato, then the cheese, then the bacon bits. The cheese will
help keep the bacon bits in place.
Choose Your Wine
This burger has lots of fat. The hamburger meat is fatty, the slice cheese is fatty, and the bacon bits are fatty. So we can pair a red wine that's a good
match for foods with lots of fat. A Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile is our red wine choice. It has pepper and cassis flavours, and it is a bold
body wine, making it a good pairing for cuisine with lots of fatty red meat and cured meat ingredients.
